Poland educates classified industry about the secrets of SEM
Search Lab - a training seminar organized for the members of ICMA (a worldwide association of classified media publishers) will take place in Amsterdam on 21st and 22nd February 2008. The event is prepared mainly for internet media, that rely on SEM activities to increase traffic on their classifieds websites. A special guest of the seminar and one of its chairmen will be Maciej Gałecki, the boss of Bluerank, a Polish search engine marketing agency.
The programme of Search Lab will be focused on: the best practices in website positioning, planning strategies of website traffic growth with the use of SEM tools, monetizing search – a concept of key significance, especially in terms of SEM for classifieds websites.
Maciej Gałecki will present the case study of Quoka.de, (one of the biggest German classified portals). Due to SEO activities provided by the agency, the portal was ranked among top fifteen websites with the biggest traffic growth in 2007 (according to Nielsen Online). Quoka noted a 93% rise in that category what gave the portal a twelfth position in the ranking, just before Kijiji.de (the part of eBay) and Markt.de.
We are happy to support such events. That kind of education is most valuable, because it is based on experience. Such presentations of SEM activities and real (not only assumed) results encourage companies to decide on website positioning... they are more aware what is effective and ethical and what must not be done... - said Maciej Gałecki, the CEO of Bluerank.
Four ICMA members have already decided to use services of Bluerank. The results of the cooperation will be presented during the seminar as examples and case studies to explain the essence of search engine marketing.
